Asia Square Launch

What happens when you open Guzman y Gomez’s (GYG) first international outpost in Singapore with an offer for free burritos? Yes, FREE burritos? You give away 3,800 burritos, serving a total of 3,165 customers, and have an accumulated wait line that snakes around the entire food court of Asia Square!

That is what happened a little over 5 years ago to the day, on 22 October 2013 when the crowds came and the burritos were served hot and fast. Founder of GYG, Steven Marks travelled to Singapore for the launch along with co-founder Robert Hazen and an army of GYG trained staff from Australia, to help the Singapore team with a smooth launch. Where will GYG go from here? Only time will tell. Watch this space.
